BLACK FRIDAY ENDS

Wow, the Striped Bass is delicious, could be the best tasting fish I've ever had. As usual it comes well packed with lots of ice packs! Thanks to all the fishermen and Intershell!

First time for striped bass filet, awesome! Fresh ,no fishy smell or off taste. Hold up to different cooking methods and still has a succulent, buttery taste!

The first time I ordered Jumbo size Black Sea Bass early this year, I got 2 nice sized fish. Not quite 3lbs each but big enough for the recipe I was making. This time around they were not able to provide Jumbo fish, so they substituted what were supposed to be Large size (2-3 lbs each) and included 3 extra fish instead. Unfortunately the "Large" fish they provided were each 1-1/2 lbs or smaller. This meant a lot more prep work for me, scaling and cleaning 5 fish, as well as more difficulty deboning the smaller fish for my guests, with smaller portions of meat left after deboning. They should have contacted me first before making the substitution. I would have cancelled the order (If I had wanted to deal with smaller fish, I would have ordered smaller fish). If I order again in the future, I will include specific instructions to make no substitutions.

The two Black Sea Bass were delicious and fresh. They were “banquet size” for a Chinese New Year dinner. Since moving from NYC decades ago, these fish were hard to find and never larger than a pound or so. If you can figure out a way to spread the word, you have a big untapped market outside of the big cities!

Ordered 2 Jumbo Whole Black Sea Bass for Chinese New Year dinners and they were great! Perfect size (3+ lbs each before scaling and cleaning) for steaming whole, and nice and fresh. Will definitely buy these again.
