At Intershell, we're committed to getting our premium, fresh products from the dock to your door with speed and care. Our shipping process is designed to ensure that every item you order arrives in peak condition, perfectly chilled and ready to enjoy.

From our packaging to our reliable delivery service, we handle every detail so you can feel confident in the quality and freshness of your seafood order.

Where do you ship?

We ship our entire premium seafood catalog—including Fresh, Live, and Frozen seafood— to all 48 states.

Do you ship to Canada, Puerto Rico, or other International Countries?

We do not ship perishable seafood to Canada, Puerto Rico, or other international destinations. However, we do offer real-time calculated shipping to Canada for non-perishable items only (such as dry goods and accessories).

What shipping courier do you use?

We use FedEx. If you prefer to use UPS instead, please let us know when you place your order.

Where do you ship from?

All fresh and frozen seafood orders from Intershell seafood are shipped from our facility located at 9 Blackburn Drive, Gloucester, MA 01930.

How are shipping costs calculated?

You can calculate your estimated shipping costs once the items are added into your cart by opening your cart and finding the “Shipping Calculator” button. All shipping costs are based off the total weight of your order, the type of seafood ordered, and the zone you are located.

How can I track my order?

We'll email you a link to your tracking information once your package has left the warehouse and scanned by FedEx. You can also track your orders by logging in to your account and viewing your most recent orders.

If your order has been split into multiple shipments, you'll receive separate dispatch emails with different tracking numbers. This way you can track each package individually. 

If the tracking doesn’t show any updates or is blank, please allow until your estimated delivery date for your order to be delivered. There may sometimes be a delay with your tracking being updated.

Do you offer free shipping?

At this point in time, we do not offer free shipping. At Intershell, we maintain a policy of transparent pricing. To achieve this, we do not include freight costs within our product prices. This allows us to provide our customers with the most accurate and up-to-date shipping rates based on their specific location and order size. We believe this level of transparency ensures you are always aware of the exact costs associated with your purchase.

Can I update the shipping address after my order has been placed?

If your order has not yet been fulfilled or shipped, we may be able to update the shipping address - Please contact us.

If your order has already been shipped, updating the shipping address will cause a one-day delay, which may adversely affect the contents of your order. Please double-check your order confirmations ensuring
that the correct shipping address has been entered.

Can I pick my delivery date?

Yes, you can pick a delivery date by using our digital calendar located within your shopping cart.

What days do you deliver?

We deliver Tuesday through Saturday. We do not deliver on Sundays, Mondays, or major holidays.

You must place your order by 12:00 PM EST to be eligible for same-day fulfillment (subject to product availability). Perishable orders placed after 12:00 PM EST on Fridays or over the weekend will be fulfilled and shipped on Monday.

Is there a packaging or handling fee?

Because specialized insulated coolers, dry ice, and gel packs are incredibly costly for smaller shipments, orders under $95.00 will be charged a $19.95 packaging fee.

Do I need to be home to receive my delivery?

We recommend you are home to receive your delivery, but it is not required. It is the customer's responsibility to receive the package(s) on the date of delivery and within a timely manner after the order has been delivered.

All shipments are sent with a Shipper Release clause, meaning that as long as the driver feels comfortable leaving the package at the delivery address they will, without requiring a signature. This ensures that our shipments are received within a timely manner due to the perishable nature of our products.

If anything is wrong with any of the contents within your order, and you do not reach out within a few hours after delivery, you may lose the right for reimbursement via store credit.

Do you deliver on Holidays? Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Years

Intershell and FedEx are closed on the following holidays, and no shipments will be delivered. When ordering for a holiday event, please request a delivery date that does not fall on the holiday itself.
