Ordering, Requests, & Cancellations

Our goal is to make your ordering experience as smooth and simple as possible. If you have any questions that aren't answered here, please don't hesitate to contact us directly.

When will you process my order after it has been placed?

Your order will be processed the following business day or the day prior to your requested delivery date.  Orders placed after 12 PM EST will be processed the following day. Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will start to be processed on Monday.

What happens if an item I ordered is out of stock?

  • Substitutions: We can suggest a comparable item of equal or greater value.
  • Refund / Cancellation: If you prefer not to substitute, we will gladly fulfill the rest of your order and issue an immediate refund back to your original payment method for the out-of-stock item. If it was a single-item order, the entire order will be canceled and refunded.

I want to receive my order by the next day. Is this possible?

Yes, next-day delivery is generally possible for many orders! If you place your order before 12 PM EST, we can usually fulfill it for next-day arrival.

However, we can't always guarantee next-day delivery for every item. This is because the availability of fresh seafood can change rapidly; a specific item or size you've ordered might sell out or not be available until a later date. The sooner you place your order, the better we can project our ability to fulfill it for your desired delivery day.

Is Saturday delivery available?

Yes, we do offer Saturday delivery for our customers at no extra charge!

However, Saturday delivery might not be available for all addresses, especially in very rural areas. When you place your order, please ensure your shipping address is able to accept Saturday deliveries.

There is an item I want that I don't see on your website. Can I submit a special request?

Yes, absolutely! If you are looking for a specific seafood product that isn't currently listed on our website, please contact us directly to ask about it.

Because of our deep, long-standing connections in the fishing industry, we have the ability to source just about any seafood from anywhere in the world.

Furthermore, because we do all of our own seafood processing in-house at our Gloucester facility, that means we may be able to custom-cut, portion, or prepare a specific seafood product exactly to your liking.

Can I add on to my existing order?

Yes, you can add on to your order. Please email us at info@intershellseafood.com with your order number and let us know what you would like to add to your order. A follow up email will be sent to the customer requesting to pay the balance owed.

Can I cancel my order?

If you need to cancel your order, please email or give us a call to do so before 1
PM EST on the day your order is scheduled to be processed or shipped. Once your order has been shipped and picked up by the courier, we're unable to cancel it.
