Northern Moon Snail is a species of Large sea snail in the family Naticidai; it is a bi-catch product of our North Atlantic Surf Clam and is found in shallow water with sandy bottoms, making it rarely seen on a normal everyday basis. Moon Snails either can be beautiful brown, beige, white, or have a purple coloring to them. Cooking and preparing moon snail is like preparing any other conch; it is not a typical dish you hear about, and it is very delicious when it is is boiled and served.
The meat should be sliced very thin and served cold as a conch salad any way you wish to prepare it.
